An opportunity exists to be involved for one or two people in commisioning a new route relay interlocking on a minor railway in the UK. For anyone not able to get such a chance in their "day job", this is a chance to get some valuable first hand experience / personalised training. Has relevance to modules 1,2,3,5,7 of the exam; this is real life work!
You won't get paid for it but B&B accomodation will be provided; suggest you sell it to your training department as effectively a FREE training course.
Don't worry re not having the Personal Track Safety / testing Certificates of Competence that NR would require for such activities; the advantage of this environment is that it is more like the "old days"; i.e. sensible rules, direct supervision of newcomers by experienced engineers. There is a real job to get done properly in the allocated timescale; in exchange for a pair of hands and an attitude to get stuck in, you'll no doubt gain a lot from the working week.

Any volunteers should email me to discuss.
