A "Layout Calculations" methodology based on, I think, New South Wales Railway's practice.
I have added my comments with "sticky notes" to the original pdf of a hand written attempt by a student- hover over them to read or close them to see text they may be hiding.
The calculations are basically the same as a UK example, apart from different assumptions re overlap length and sighting distance; it would therefore be essential that the candidate declared their practices or else it would look like a UK example but with some suspicious values inserted.
It is a good clear presentation for non-stop and avoids the use of "DGR" which is probably a good idea. It would definitely benefit from a diagram.
The consideration of stopping is most politely described as "minimalistic"; I'd definitely recommend a diagram for this and some greater clarity re what was calculated even if you felt that time was better invested elsewhere in the paper rather than performing more detailed calculations for this.
