3 types of NS1 relay - onestrangeday - 06-01-2017
Hello Signalling Professionals:
Recently I have a chance to look the circuit diagram for these 3 different types of NS1 relays, they are N.S1-R-24-4.0.4, N.S1-L-24-4.0.4, N.S1-P-24-4.0.4.
Can anyone share what is the usage and difference between these 3 types of relay?
(since they are all working at 24 volts, 4 NO & 4 NC)

I don't know and I can't even think where to readily find that information.
Given that the voltage is the same and you also imply the contact arrangement is the same, the most obvious other form of difference would be the response time. Is it possible that one is normal-acting, one slow-to-pick and the third slow-to-drop?
Other possibility might be that one perhaps could be ac immune.......
The suffixes R, L, P don't suggest anything to be other than Right /Left / but then P= ????, so if that nomenclature is a hint then I am afraid that it escapes me.
Hopefully someone else might know.......

Got to the OEM's website and get data sheets or look in your administration's standards and "typical circuits" to see what application each is used for. OEM will show differences in performance etc., typicals/standards would show what application they are used in, limitations etc.

R, L and P stands for the functionality of the relays. R stands for point operation, P is for Post type of relay and L is for Line relay.
